Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Yume. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this service.

Description of Service

Yume is a professional networking platform that connects talented individuals with career opportunities. Our services include:

• Job posting and application management
• Event creation and registration with QR code check-in
• Professional networking and community features
• Badge printing and attendee tracking
• Analytics and reporting tools
• Premium subscription features

User Accounts

To use certain features of Yume, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our sole discretion.

Community Guidelines

Yume is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all users. Our community is built on mutual respect, professionalism, and constructive engagement.

Zero Tolerance Policy: We have a zero tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
• Hate speech, discrimination, or content targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
• Sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene content
• Violent, threatening, or graphic content
• Spam, scams, phishing, or fraudulent content
• Misinformation or deliberately misleading content
• Content that promotes illegal activities
• Impersonation or misrepresentation of identity
• Sharing private information without consent (doxxing)

Users who violate these guidelines may have their content removed and their accounts suspended or permanently terminated without prior notice.

Content Moderation & Reporting

We employ a combination of automated systems and human review to moderate content on our platform. Our moderation practices include:

• Automated Filtering: Content is automatically scanned for profanity, spam, and potentially harmful material
• User Reporting: Users can report objectionable content, posts, job listings, events, communities, or other users directly through our app
• Human Review: All reports are reviewed by our moderation team
• Swift Action: We are committed to acting on flagged content within 24 hours of receiving a report

How to Report: If you encounter content or behavior that violates our guidelines, you can report it by tapping the menu icon (three dots) on any post, profile, job listing, event, or community and selecting "Report." You can also block users to prevent further interaction.

Our Commitment: We take all reports seriously and are committed to reviewing and taking appropriate action on reported content within 24 hours. Actions may include content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination depending on the severity of the violation.

Blocking Users

You have the ability to block other users on Yume. When you block a user:

• They will not be able to see your profile or content
• Their content will be hidden from your feed
• They will not be able to interact with you or your content
• You can manage your blocked users list in your account settings

Blocking is designed to give you control over your experience on Yume. You can unblock users at any time from your settings.

User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Post false, inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Post content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or violates intellectual property rights
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other user accounts
• Transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code
• Spam, send unsolicited messages, or engage in commercial activities without permission
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

Content & Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you post on Yume. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the platform.

Our Content: All platform content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to design, logos, text, graphics, and software) are owned by Yume and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services without explicit written permission.

Job Postings & Applications

Employers: You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your job postings. You agree to comply with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

Job Seekers: You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile and application materials. Yume does not guarantee job placement or interview opportunities.

Events & QR Check-In

Event Organizers: You are responsible for the content, safety, and legality of your events. Yume provides tools for event management but is not liable for event outcomes.

Attendees: By registering for an event, you agree to share necessary information with the event organizer. QR codes are for authorized use only.

Payment & Subscriptions

Free Tier: Our free tier includes limited features as described on our pricing page.

Premium Subscriptions: Premium plans are billed monthly or annually. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
• You can cancel anytime from your account settings
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial months or unused features
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

Disclaimers

Yume is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Information provided will be accurate or reliable
• Defects will be corrected
• Results from using the service will meet your requirements

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yume and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or data
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or property damage
• Unauthorized access to your account

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Yume and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of the platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
• Content you post on the platform

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:

• Breach of these Terms
• Request by law enforcement or government agencies
• Discontinuation or material modification of the service
• Unexpected technical or security issues
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity

You may also terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Arbitration: Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Yume shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

General Provisions

• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction
• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Yume
